You need to take antibiotic prior to the and after the procedure to reduce chance of infection. Antibiotic is used to kill germ that enter from you incision. Infection after surgery can be taken care by oral antibiotics.



You should reduce strenuous activity and not have intercourse in the first six week. Do you use tampons or wear constricting underwear because they might irritate your sensitive wound. Labia might become swollen and scar tissue might form.


Exercise like riding or cycling is bad for your incision too. You will experience small amount of pain. However, excessive pain could be sign of infection.

Excessive bleeding might occur if your incision separated. Scarring and pain might also occur after the procedure and might require further surgery or revision.
